The Mallorca Summer Academy opens up to 12 active students for the Orchestral Conducting Summer Course 'Ciutat d'Alcúdia'.

All participants will receive a diploma.

Deadline for applications: 30 June 2018

Due to the large number of applications, we will only reserve and confirm the successful applications once the payment have been received. The system will be first come first served. Please follow these steps:

 

1- Send us the application form, preferably, linking a video of you conducting.

2- Once we confirm vacancies available, you can do the payment of tuition fees.

REPERTOIRE TO WORK

  • Wofgang Amadeus Mozart - Symphony in C Major, K.551 num. 41 “Jupiter”

  • Gerald Finzi - Clarinet concerto op.31

  • Johannes Brahms - Hungarian Dances num. 1, 5 & 6, string orchestra version (score provided by the organisation)

  • Pyotr Tchaikovsky - Strings Serenade op.48

  • Carl Maria von Weber - Concertino in Eb Major op.26 for clarinet & orchestra

It is mandatory to prepare all pieces. Each student will be responsible to get their own scores, except the one provided by the organisation.

TERMS & CONDITIONS

General information:

 

  • Main language of instruction: English will be the main language. However Spanish and German can be offered

  • Ressonance lessons can be taught in English, German, Spanish or Catalan

  • The organisation will provide a video recording of the practicum with the orchestra in rehearsals and concert with a Pen-Drive.

  • The deadline for applications is the 17th of June 2018
     


Additional conditions:

The organisation reserves the right to make any necessary changes to the course content. A change does not infer any right to withdraw from the course or claim compensation.

Cancellation policy:

 

  • Any cancellation before June 17th 2018: no reimbursement of 80€ to cover administration costs.

  • Any cancellation after June 17th 2018: no reimbursement of tuition fee possible, unless the place can be used by someone else (a penalty fee of 80€ will be kept back to cover administration costs, in any case).
